LA MALTERIE

 

La Malterie is a non-profit organization, which runs a restored factory in Lille, France, dedicated to experimentation of the arts. Founded in 1995 by artists for artists, the entire project's mission is focused on the place of the artist as the heart of the projects and experiments, and the presence of the artist in a social environment.

 

The first step in the project was to create a logo; the large 'M' in the design serves as a reminder to the name and as a reference to the slanted roofs of factories, popular in the local area. After the logo was created, I then applied it to promotional material and merchandise to create their new visual identity and brand image.

 

This project is a redesign of La Malterie's visual identity.
